Dave the Potter

This book-length poem, presented in a picturebook, tells the story of Dave the Potter. Dave was a slave in South Carolina who made the largest pots of any potter in America at the time. He also wrote poems on the sides of many of his pots. This poem tells the story of Dave and his art.
